- Location: Harbor Ballroom at Fisherman’s Wharf, 2200 Harborview, Galveston
- Happy Hour begins at 7 p.m. and each member will receive 2 drink tickets. Cash bar is available throughout the evening.
- Band: “Island Katz” who will begin playing at 8 p.m. Dance music will continue all evening until midnight.
- Pageant and King and Queen Coronation will begin at 8:30 p.m.
- Buffet will open at 9:30 p.m.
- Cost: Pardi Gras Ball is included in your membership dues. Guest tickets may be purchased for $65.
- Parking: Lot in front of restaurant (3 hours validated then additional time is at your own expense). There are also around 60 spaces at the Cruise Terminal Parking Lot. For both lots, please enter at 22nd and Harborside. There should be someone directing traffic.
- Silent Auction items will be featured at the ball. Please come look and bid generously
Glitzy Affair: The Ball and Royal Pageant
Step into a world of elegance and revelry as the Ball and Royal Pageant takes center stage, marking a highlight of Galveston’s social calendar. Held two weekends before the vibrant Seawall Parade, this enchanting event is included in membership dues, ensuring an exclusive gathering of krewe members. A limited number of tickets are available to the general public.
As the evening unfolds, the venue, typically one of Galveston’s grand hotel ballrooms or a captivating convention center, transforms into a scene of splendor. Members, dressed to impress in either after-five attire or costumes that align with the year’s theme, mingle and sway to the lively tunes of the band.
The night takes a captivating turn with the commencement of the Royal Pageant, the pinnacle of the event. Anticipation fills the air as royal couples grace the stage, showcasing their exquisite costumes, adorned with elaborate trains, capes, and headdresses. Each couple embodies the essence of royalty, captivating the audience with their poise and charm.
The pageant culminates in a grand coronation ceremony, where the newly crowned monarchs take their place amidst cheers and applause. The Ball and Royal Pageant is a testament to Galveston’s rich cultural heritage and its penchant for vibrant celebrations, leaving an indelible mark on all who attend.
Silent Auction
One of the popular features of our gala is the Silent Auction. Participants in the Ball can bid on many great auction items. Winning bidders will be announced by the end of the Ball. Come look over the goodies and make a bid.
