In the week leading up to the Seawall Parade, the Krewe hosts a special day for senior citizens from local nursing homes  at our Float Barn. The event features a catered meal, costumed krewe members, dancing, and bead throwing.

The seniors arrived at the Float Barn to find a festive atmosphere, with music playing and decorations everywhere. They were greeted by costumed krewe members, who helped them to find their seats and make them feel welcome.

After the meal, it was time for dancing! The krewe members led the seniors in a variety of dances, from the waltz to the polka. Everyone has a great time swinging their hips and tapping their toes.

At the end of the afternoon, the seniors were treated to a bead throw. The krewe members tossed beads from the floats, and the seniors caught them with glee. It is a fitting end to a perfect day.

The Barn Bash is always a huge success. The seniors have a wonderful time, and the krewe members and volunteers are happy to be able to give them a day to remember. We look forward to hosting it every year.
